This Wiper Stalk is located on the right side of the steering wheel and its function is to control the front and rear wiper, speed of wipers and washer jets.

Common faults or damages include; stalk snapped off, spilt liquid over it causing it to stick and functions not working correctly.

This part may be the solution you need to replace your existing unit.

The part number is 4M5T-17A553-BD and is printed on a sticker located next to the wiring plug connection point.

Part Removal Guide

First drop the steering column to its lowest position in order to have enough space to work above.

Pop off the piece of trim that covers the top and bottom of the steering column. Take care when doing this as to not damage any of the fixings.

Next you'll see the wiper stalk unit, there is are 2 small screws that you need to undo and then slide the wiper stalk out.

You'll need to remove the plug by pushing in the plug retaining clip. Be carful not to damage the plug or the wiring.
